Patrick Gunn ‘HWS 13 has had a pivotal role in setting up the laboratory ahead of the sampling season for the Finger Lakes Mercury (Hg) Project. As the Hg lab technician, Patrick worked closely with Finger Lakes Institute Director Lisa Cleckner to ensure that all the components for the 2015 trace metal sampling work were in place and followed strict guidelines of the US EPA, including a rigorous acid cleaning schedule for sampling bottles and all the logistics of field sampling including seston, zooplankton, and benthic invertebrate sampling. Patrick has since moved on to the West Coast, but we are very grateful for his early and important contribution to the Finger Lakes Hg Project.
